Video Poster Series Archive: The SDT fatty rat Chronicles
Video Archive
Overview
This Video Poster Series is based on a scientific presentation/poster presented at ERA-EDTA 2017.
The presentation evaluates the effects of dapagliflozin treatment in the uni-nephrectomized SDT fatty rat, a model that develops advanced renal complications and a marked decline in glomerular filtration rate (GFR) within 10 weeks.
The study compares 7-week and 10-week treatment periods and demonstrates that, while both treatment durations improve glycemic control, only the 10-week treatment significantly improves renal histopathological findings, including glomerulosclerosis, fibrosis, and inflammation.
This content provides an overview of the study background, experimental design, and principal findings for researchers interested in diabetic kidney disease models and therapeutic evaluation.
