Introduction:
"I have trouble performing tail vein venipuncture and injection..."
"I cannot imagine how the blood vessels run in the tail..."
"I cannot practice using live animals repeatedly..."
"It is difficult to purchase animals for training..."
In response to these concerns, we are releasing the Mouse Tail Vein Simulator!

Features:
Feature 1: Practice venipuncture and injection without animals!
→This allows you to practice venipuncture and injection without using animals, realizing the 3R principle of "Replacement".
→It also helps to reduce the pain of animals by allowing you to get a hang of venipuncture and injection before using animals, realizing the 3R principle of "Refinement".
Feature 2: Realistic size and feel!
→The simulator has two tail veins (tubes) and one tailbone built in.
→When simulated blood (red food coloring water) is flowed into the tail veins, you can see the two tail veins from outside.
→The resistance felt when the needle fails to enter the vein is the same as in an animal.
When the needle successfully enters the vein, you can feel the needle tip slide in smoothly.

Feature 3: No need for location or time!
→You don't need to apply for an experimental protocol, purchase and raise animals for training.
→You can practice in any location, such as a classroom or laboratory.
Feature 4: 2 models; ICR and C57BL/6

The C57BL/6 model is designed to be more challenging than the ICR (white-colored) model. It has the following features:
- A thin tail
- Pigmented fur
- A gradient fur color (dark on the back, light on the belly)

C57BL/6 model:
→For users who are having difficulty with tail vein injections and venipuncture in C57BL/6 mice
→For users who have practiced sufficiently with the ICR model
→For users who want to develop their insertion skills without relying on vision
ICR model:
→For users who are new to tail vein injections and venipuncture
→For users who want to learn the entire procedure
→For users who want to develop their insertion skills

FAQ
Can it be used repeatedly? How many times can it be used?
It is possible to perform more than 100 punctures by changing the position if used properly. If you wash the simulated blood vessels thoroughly with water, drain the water, and dry them for several days after using, the holes can be repaired to some extent by the elasticity of silicone.
In the video (in Japanese), it is explained that it can be used repeatedly. However, once the needle is inserted, a hole is created, so is it difficult to use repeatedly?
It is important to note that if you apply extreme pressure during use (if you press the plunger too hard), simulated blood may leak out from the holes. However, it is still possible to use it even if simulated blood is leaking. You can continue practicing until you are satisfied.
