NOD scid, BALBc nu, and Wistar/SD rat available: Introducing CLEA Japan's high-quality experimental animals, from Thailand to Vietnam.

It will be delivered in about 3 hours flight from Thailand. Diabetes and immunodeficiency models, and Wistar/SD rats are available. Introducing CLEA Japan's high-quality laboratory animals, the world-standard SPF levels.


Since 2023, Nomura Siam International Co, Ltd. (NSI) and CLEA Japan, Inc. (CLEA Japan) have planned to focus on expanding sales in the Southeast Asian market. On top of that, we are promoting high-quality laboratory animals that meet global standards, starting from the breeding facility M-CBC in Thailand.

Currently, we can deliver high-quality/SPF-level rats, which are scarcely produced in Southeast Asia such as diabetic models, immunodeficiency rats that are used for cancer research, and Wistar/SD rats. Please consider using CLEA high-quality SPF animals/model animals, which are widely used worldwide.

BALB/cAJcl mouse:

BALB-cAJcl mouse
This BALB/cAJcl has a lot of precedents in oncology, immunology, and nuclear medicine research, and is widely used in fields such as immunology, monoclonal antibody research, and screening. In order to improve its quality, it is produced under the strict SPF of CLEA Japan standard, and the genetic and microbiological tests are carried out regularly by bringing the sample back to Japan.

 

Rat model (Jcl:Wistar / Jcl:SD)

We produce general purpose laboratory rats with SPF conditions that meet global standards, which are scarcity in Southeast Asia. It is widely used, especially in injection drug administration tests.

Wistar rat:

Wistar rat
Wistar rat is medium-sized albinos with a good sensitivity to various factors. Their learning ability is particularly high. It is used for studies in a variety of fields including behavioral pharmacology, toxicity, pharmacology, drug efficacy, and safety testing.

 

SD rat:

SD rat
SD has many test results and there is no risk of hydronephrosis like Wistar. It is ideal for injection test and has already been used in a wide range of research fields, including safety testing, pharmacology, toxicity, biochemistry, nutrition, and other.

 

Immunodeficiency Models

M-CBC has successfully produced immunodeficient animals that require higher microbial control than general purpose SPF animal models.Currently, we can breed and provide three representative immunodeficient animals.

Immunodeficient animals lacking T cell function: BALB/cA-nu/nu

It lacks T cell function and has many achievements in various immunological and cancer research, anticancer drug screening and microbiological research.

 

Lack of B cell function to match T cells: C.B-17-scid

In addition to cellular immunity, little immunoglobulin is produced due to the lack of T-cell and B-cell function. A wider range of cell can be successfully engrafted with almost the same budged as BALB/cA-nu/nu.

 

Decreased NK activity, complement activity, and macrophage function along with the lack of T/B cell function: NOD-scid

NOD
In addition to the lack of T and B cells in SCID mice, NOD strain-derived complement activity and decreased macrophage function were added. It is a severer immunodeficient animal model than C.B-17-scid and has excellent engraftment nature of allogeneic and heterogeneous cells.

 

Procedure

NSI will oversee sales and delivery arrangements to Vietnam.

1.  Contact us by inquiry form of this website.
  

2.  Have a meeting with the NSI sales representative. Please let us know the following.
  

・Preferred animals strain/type
・Number of animals, Male___  Female___
・Week of age
・Date of delivery
・Place of delivery (Detailed as needed)

3.  Arrange delivery schedule by NSI.

4.  Prepare animals as arranged schedule.
  

5.  We will ship by Thai Airways or Garuda Indonesia the day before the delivery date.
  

6.  Customs clearance from the airport. Local transportation can be arranged as requested.
  

7.  Received shippings.
  
  Two sizes of boxes can be choose. These can safely transport animals with SPF condition.

8.  Payment

FAQ

Can you prepare the documents for customs clearance from Thailand to Singapore?

Yes. In case we need to ask you more information but basically NSI will prepare everything.

 

From which facility of the animals in Japan or Thailand will be delivered?

If the strain you are considering is produced at MCBC, we basically recommend delivering from there for Southeast Asian and India customers because of the advantages in cost and transportation time.
The strain produced only in Japan will be delivered from Japan.

 

Are there any differences between animals produced at facilities in Japan and Thailand?

At MCBC, we use the same feed as in Japan, and the manager of MCBC has an experience the same position in Japanese facility.
In addition, we are monitoring the animals through microbiological at the Central Institute for Experimental Animals every three months and genetic monitoring every three years, as same as Japanese facility animals.
We expect the quality is enough to be considered as the same between Japanese and Thai animals.
