Genetic Control
Major strains of inbred or mutant mice and rats produced and supplied by CLEA Japan, Inc. are subjected to genetic monitoring once every 1-3 years to confirm their genetic profiles. In addition to this practice, the animals are closely observed daily. Provisional genetic monitoring is ready to be carried out immediately if signs of genetic abnormalities, such as changes in hair color, behavior, reproductive outcome, growth, spontaneous developmental anomalies, etc., are found.
